After Care

The owner of an Antique clock can help maintain a restored clock in good condition by ensuring that the clock is oiled regularly and that dirt and dust are prevented from entering the mechanism. Most clocks require oiling in 1-2 years, this can usually be done on site and takes about an hour.

If a Longcase or Grandfather clock is moved, (perhaps to re-decorate the wall behind) or if a French mantle clock is moved there can often be problems setting the clock going afterward due to the clock being out of beat.

I have made two short videos to help with setting up both Longcase and mantle clocks.
